My name is Lester Perry I received my first train when I was 2 years old. I think it may have been more for my Father. That was back in 1957, it was American Flier. When I was around 10 years old my father told me he couldn't get American Flier anymore and we needed to change to something else, that was HO. We had a layout in the basement.
Then as I got older other things got my interest, cars, girls, cars, girls. Any way I got married started a family but still loved trains. When my first son was 2 years old I did as my father did, I bought my son a train. I dabbled in it for the next 20 plus years. Then in 1996 I got serious about Model Railroading.
I was a truck driver for most of my adult life. The last 20 years of work I was a yard jockey at Chrysler's Newark assembly plant. July of 07 I had a cerebral hemorrhage which caused a severe stroke. I am now disabled and no longer able to work.
It has been several years sense I wrote this so I thought might be a good idea to give an up date. Grand children are GREAT !!! & life goes on.. That's it , Still modeling C&O, still in the past.
